Project Joy 2026 FAQ
Welcome to Project Joy 2026. We will travel to Mexico to visit with our partner churches to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the pastors, congregants and community families. We want you to know that we would love to have you travel with us on this fabulous trip. Please take a few moments to read through some of these questions and answers.
Q: Where in Mexico will you travel?
A: We will travel to the state of Sonora and Baja California. Our port of entry and exit is in San Luis, AZ. San Luis is about 3 hours from Chandler.
Q. What date will we leave?
A: We will travel December 11 and 12, 2026.
Q. Is it safe to travel to Mexico?
A: Yes. Outside of car trouble we have all been there and back safely.
Q: Do I need a passport?
A: You don’t need a passport if you have a travel driver’s license. If you have a passport you may bring it with you.
Q: Where will we sleep overnight?
A: Our host has a home with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 10-12 people.
Q: What should we bring for the trip?
A: Bring an overnight bag with clothes, personal hygiene items and snacks. In addition, you should bring a pillow, a quilt or sleeping bag for the bed.
Q: Should I bring food?
A: You may bring snacks and any special dietary foods otherwise we usually make a breakfast and lunch stop. We usually have dinner with one of our host churches or we go out.
