Coronavirus Update

March 19, 2020

We have made the difficult decision to suspend our normal Sunday Service gatherings from now until the end of April, and replace them with online virtual options for teaching & worship.

We have chosen to suspend normal Sunday Service gatherings for the sake of loving each other and our community well. We believe it is not only loving but also wise to err on the side of caution. As the growing consensus among our governing officials & medical professionals come into focus, it seems to be the better part of wisdom to limit large group gatherings and embrace the CDC’s guidelines to keep people safe and try to limit the impact of this disease.

We believe that, even during times of limited interaction, social distancing, and heightened caution, we are called to be who we are in this world as salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16). We also believe it is important for us to find ways to receive teaching from the Scripture, to worship our God, to pray, to fellowship, to give, and to serve. Like Christians all over the country and the world, we need to find creative ways to pursue these practices even within our current limitations.

We will be constantly monitoring the situation to determine if we need to reduce, expand, or revise the plan about our church gatherings and ministry events. Please stay tuned, as we will continue to provide regular updates, encouragement, support, and ideas about how all of us can stay close to Jesus, stay connected to the Body, and continue to love our neighbors audaciously.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 ESV)
